Changes in official fees regarding Patent, etc. effective from 1 August 2023
in South Korea
The Korean Intellectual
Property Office (KIPO) released the news regarding the upcoming changes to the
official fees that will be effective from August 1, 2023.
A summary of the main
changes regarding the official fees stated in the news is as follows:
1. (Reduction in patent registration
fees and patent annuities)
This applies to the patent
applications of which the Decision to Grant Registration is issued on or after
August 1, 2023 or the patent
annuities due (not grace period) on or after August 1, 2023.
